William Morris Gallery Tea Room and Shop

The new extension to the William Morris Gallery houses a Tea Room with 40 covers that is an alternative entrance from the park. This was designed as a conservatory extension to the main building, highly glazed and with external finishes visible in the interior. It has a balcony with seating areas outside and is a useful amenity for both gallery users and park users. The kitchen also serves special events and functions held within the gallery, which is also licensed for weddings. Next to the Tea Room is a Discovery Lounge, which is a place where visitors can read and consult interactive computer terminals.

The main entrance hall to the gallery houses a shop and welcome point that sells a special range of William Morris merchandise. This is the focal point and information point for the whole gallery and is ideally located for people looking for the galleries, the special exhibition gallery and the tea room.
